Much has happened since I wrote my last blog post. I’ve been wanting to write sooner, but it just hasn’t quite felt like the right time until now. And I also haven’t been entirely sure what to write, as we’ve had such unprecedented events since March and the Corona virus lockdown began, and it has really affected me in many ways, as of course, it has everyone in one way or another. Actually, I am still not 100% sure what I want to write, but usually when I just start writing it will unfold on its own. So here goes… 😉
As I have mentioned before, and as most who follow my blog know, I am an awakened and spiritual woman, and my spiritual beliefs guide my life in every way. I believe I was put on this earth to contribute to the awakening of humanity in this unprecedented time, in my own unique way. We’re all here to do our part, really. How I am to contribute I still don’t know fully, but I am sure that will unfold as my life keeps unfolding. Music is of course important to me, and part of it, I believe, however, just living my life authentically, following my heart, and utilizing my own inner power and guidance, is what it’s primarily about. And in doing so, hopefully I can inspire others to do the same.
When the Corona virus lockdown hit back in March, it came as a shock to me, as I’m sure it did to many. It was totally unexpected, and quite surreal how society completely changed overnight. It almost felt a bit like being imprisoned, as if a dark cloud had descended over us. I picked up on quite a bit of collective anxiety, and it also triggered some of my own subconscious, deep seated fears, which I had to process and deal with. I’m sure I’m not alone in this either. I also feel that these events triggered a deeper awakening and understanding as far as what is really going on under the surface here on our planet. A battle of sorts have been, and still is, unfolding, both on an individual and collective level.
Just by looking at our social media feeds, we can all see this battle unfolding. These events that started with the Corona virus and continued with the BLM movement, have certainly triggered a lot of emotions in people, and it is forcing us all to take a stand in some way. This battle I speak of is happening between individuals, between social groups, and also within ourselves, as we try to make sense of where we stand, and where we want to go in our own lives. Perhaps ultimately it is a battle of “good and evil” on our planet that is playing out, where we get to decide what kind of world we want to live in going forward. At least that is my interpretation of what is going on, on some level.
Although these are uncomfortable times that we live in, in many ways I think what is happening is necessary. In order to reach a place of balance and unity in love, which is what we all ultimately want, we have to look at and deal with the dysfunctional parts both in ourselves and society. However, as more and more people awaken to the atrocities that have been taking place on earth, and are dealing with the effects of the virus itself and repercussions in its wake, racism, vandalism and the like, I urge us all to be patient with each other, and with yourself too. I know it’s not easy when we are living in pains and stress, but I think the most important thing that we can do for ourselves and others at this time, is to give ourselves and each other some love and understanding. Easier said than done sometimes, I know, but still… it is important!
I certainly am not perfect at this, as I often lose my patience and don’t always feel in the most loving of moods, but it’s still important to focus on it, and to work towards it. As I have been working through my own demons in relation to everything that has been going on, that is the message that is becoming more and more prominent for me. Getting back to a place of love and unity. We’re all for the most part just trying to do our best in a chaotic world right now, and that’s not easy. I suppose it is kind of appropriate that the song I’m working on right now is about unity of sorts. Perhaps in a romantic way, but still… that’s important too. Love comes in many forms, and the more we can embrace love in its purity, the better.
So I hope you’re hanging in there, and although it may take some time, I believe we’re creating a better world for ourselves and our loved ones… for all humanity really. We just have to weather the storm first, and that is probably not over just yet. So in the meantime take care of yourself the best you can, and find ways to create some peace and love for yourself and others. I hope to contribute in my own small way through my music and healing work, for those of you that may benefit from that. ❤️
Until next time… sending you lots of love and light.
