If there is something I’ve gotten used to over the past few years, as I’ve been in my accelerated ascension process, is dealing with change. I’ve been letting go and shifting out of outdated beliefs, and been in a constant state of transformation. I know I’m not alone in this, as humanity is on the precipice of shifting out of an old consciousness and into new ways of thinking and being. Many of us have been feeling this in different ways, but collectively we’ve all been thrust into a great deal of change since early 2020, and have had to deal with this in different ways.
Life really is in a constant ebb and flow, and we are always growing. However, there are times when the universe asks us to take a giant leap, often without any forewarning, and for most of us that happened last year. Dealing with change isn’t always easy. Although I do believe that change can be a positive thing as long as we are open to that, we don’t always see it right away. And often when we’re in the process of change and transformation, we need to say goodbye to many things, before we can bring in the new.
Change can be the loss of a job, moving to a new place, a breakup, or as what happened last year, when our way of life took a whole new turn, which was for most of us quite unexpected. Change usually does involve some kind of loss, though, and for that reason I believe it is important that we acknowledge that and recognize our need to feel that loss and allow ourselves time to grieve. We need to let go of the old before we can embrace the new, and that can take some time. Being patient with ourselves and allowing ourselves the time we need to heal is important, but perhaps one of the biggest challenges of all. Change can be painful, and it is in our nature to resist it. Most of us don’t want to be in pain, yet growth often hurts, and is perhaps even necessary so that we can really appreciate the beauty on the other side. It is a fact in the world of polarity that we all live in.
When change happens we need to allow for the time it takes to emerge on the other side. Having said that, there are certainly things we can do to make it easier on ourselves. Taking care of ourselves on all levels is important, and although we may feel like burying a hole in the ground and hide there until everything is over, that is usually not an option. 🙂 Instead we need to slow down as much as we are able to and do whatever we feel we need at any given time. This could be to go for a walk, do some meditation, listen to music, exercise or perhaps call a friend for some uplifting conversation. All those things are great, and we should make use of all of them at some point.
When we are going through change and challenges in life, taking care of ourselves is sometimes the last thing on our minds, but it becomes even more important during this time. This includes both physically, mentally/emotionally and spiritually. As much as possible, try to eat healthy and get some exercise, see a therapist, attend a support group or talk to good friends, and keep up your spiritual practice (or start one if you don’t already have one). During change it is time to go inwards and reflect on what has been, what you want to release and let go of, and what you want to embrace and bring in more of. Meditation and prayer can be very helpful when we feel stuck and in despair.
All these things can be comforting and help move you forward, but nothing is ever going to take away the pain completely, except seeing it through. It is a process and it takes the time it takes. Sometimes the greatest comfort is just knowing that it is temporary, and that all will be well in the end, and if you don’t feel that it is well yet, that means it is still not the end (that is my belief, anyway). With the ascension of our planet, which is taking place right now, we may be in a state of change for a while, as we are by no means out of the woods yet. That may feel disheartening to some, but better to be prepared, and find the strength and courage to keep going, when things may seem very dark in the outer world.
Many years ago, when I was going through a difficult time, my father quoted a line from a poem to me, that has always stuck with me since. The line came from a poem by a Swedish writer, Karin Boye. It has given me comfort through the years, whenever I’ve been going through change, and I wanted to share with you here. I found this English translation of it online, and I feel that it beautifully depicts the process of change, transformation and grief. I hope you enjoy it, and that it can inspire and give you hope in times of change and transformation, as it has for me.
Of Course It Hurts
Of course it hurts when buds burst.
Otherwise why would spring hesitate?
Why would all our fervent longing
be bound in the frozen bitter haze?
The bud was the casing all winter.
What is this new thing, which consumes and bursts?
Of course it hurts when buds burst,
pain for that which grows
and for that which envelops.
Of course it is hard when drops fall.
Trembling with fear they hang heavy,
clammer on the branch, swell and slide –
the weight pulls them down, how they cling.
Hard to be uncertain, afraid and divided,
hard to feel the deep pulling and calling,
yet sit there and just quiver –
hard to want to stay
and to want to fall.
Then, at the point of agony and when all is beyond help,
the tree’s buds burst as if in jubilation,
then, when fear no longer exists,
the branch’s drops tumble in a shimmer,
forgetting that they were afraid of the new,
forgetting that they were fearful of the journey –
feeling for a second their greatest security,
resting in the trust
that creates the world.
Many have likened the process of transformation to the stages the caterpillar goes through when becoming a butterfly. I think it’s a beautiful analogy, and ascension is really all about that. We’re coming into our power, becoming the beautiful, multidimensional beings that we were always destined to become. If we have to go through some years of hardship, difficulty and confusion to get there, rest assured that it’s all going to be worth it. So let’s all hang in there, embrace the change and open our hearts to the love and light that is flowing in like never before. It is what will help us through and unite humanity in the love based level of consciousness, which we call 5D.
With that, I send you, as always, so much love & light!
