Harnessing the Power of the Equinox

The Spring Equinox (or Fall Equinox if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere) is approaching fast, and the energies are building up to it. Well, the energies are generally getting stronger and stronger all the time these days, as we keep ascending to higher vibrations of love and light, but days such as the equinoxes and solstices are particularly powerful days where the energies are conducive to bigger shifts and transformation, also now. These power days were understood and celebrated by our ancestors. They knew how to harness its power to bring about positive transformation in their lives, and this is something that we can tap into also. In fact, I think it’s very important that we do so, to counteract the negative forces at play right now, and assist the earth and ourselves with our rebirth into the Age of Aquarius.

The equinox is the day of the year where the day and night are equally long, and this can serve as a reminder for us to find balance in our lives. It also may signify the struggle between light and dark, which is a mirror of what is happening on our planet at the moment. Although we’re having a battle of consciousness on our planet, a fight between good and evil, we have each of us individually a battle going on within. What I mean by that, is that our negative mind that holds fear, depression and anger, struggles with the positive mind that wants to stay in joy and light, and feel good all the time. Although there is nothing wrong with the latter, it may not be realistic, at least not where most of us are at right now, so we have to acknowledge our negative mind too, and try to find the balancing point, which is the neutral mind.

The concept of the negative, positive and neutral mind is one that stems from Kundalini Yoga (at least that is where I learnt about it, other traditions may also talk about it, of course). The neutral mind is a state of peace and balance, but also of love, the way I see it. Anchoring in the powerful force of love, we are at peace, knowing all is well, and will be well. When we can align with that neutral place, the love center within, we will also align with it in the outer world, and bring that too us. I believe love to be the underlying force, the balancing point in the universe, and when we can see all through the lense of love, we find true peace and balance.

Another way to look at finding balance, is also to balance the masculine and feminine energies within us. It’s all about finding the neutral point between polarities, and although we constantly fluctuate between the two, and sometimes more extremely these days, perhaps, with everything going on in the world, let this equinox remind you to get back to center. The masculine energies represent action, fire, warrior type energy, the feminine represents creativity, water and flow. When we can balance these two, is when we can really step into our power. We need both at different times throughout our lives, and even during the course of a day. We need to take time to embrace one and the other, and maintain the balance. The heart center is the place where the masculine and feminine energies converge, and it’s also our center for unconditional love. Everything balances and becomes neutral here, in a sea of love.

All that I’m writing about here, is just as much a reminder for myself, as I have struggled a little bit the last couple of weeks, I have to admit. I got some news a short while ago that really troubled me, and I still haven’t been able to quite come to terms with it, although it’s getting better. I won’t go into detail right now about what it was about, but basically it has to do with how we’re making different choices these days, and how these choices may make it challenging to remain close with people. That doesn’t mean we don’t love each other, but sometimes choices people make point in opposite directions, and may make it difficult to remain friends, even if you really want to. Not sure if that is where my situation will end up, and I hope not, but it made me feel deeply how split people are these days, and it seems impossible to sit on the fence, even if you want to.

Perhaps that situation is a reminder for me to find balance both within myself and with my friend. And letting go of expectations. That is something that I need to constantly remind myself of these days, it seems, and once again, I will take that to heart. Most importantly, though, I can see now, as I’m writing this, is for me to come back to my heart, my center of balance and unconditional love. When seeing it in that light, I know that love will always win, and even if those we care about make choices that we don’t agree with, the love we have for each other trumps all that. I will keep that knowing in the my heart and find peace once again with that. 🙂

Another reason why I have felt a little out of sorts these past few days, is that my Kundalini energy has come back up, permanently it seems, and that has also put me in a very raw, vulnerable and sensitive state. Although having the Kundalini back up is a very good thing, it pushed up some emotions to be released, and so I’ve been crying at the drop of a hat recently. I feel things are stabilizing now, though, and hopefully by the equinox I will have found my balance once again.

In order to contribute more with the ascension process we’re all in, I’ve been toying with the idea of starting to do regular energy updates on my YouTube channel, where I will include attunements with sound healing and light language. I figured this Sunday will be a good time to start, with the equinox, as that will give us all a powerful boost to keep on going for this next phase. So make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel, if you want to catch that, as well as any future videos.

With that I’ll wrap up this post. I hope you are able to find balance and take advantage of the equinox to raise your vibration and step into more of your power. And as always, I wish you so much love & light.
